The RGB Color Calculator - HTML Color HEX Code Generator

As I was setting up my google and adbrite ads, I noticed that the color presets from googles palletes didnt match the color of my sidebar. And the thing is, I dont know the exact HTML Color code for my sidebar since it only has RGB Codes set on the CSS File. So I asked my good ol’ pal Google to help me find a way to convert it to HTML Color code, and boy did it work like charm. Google handed me The RGB Color Calculator.

The RGB Color Calculator - HTML Color HEX Code Generator

At first glance I knew I found what I was looking for. Well just a brief review about The RGB Color Calculator, It basically converts between RGB Values, HTML Color Hex Codes and HSV Values. Simultaneously. And you even get to view the color you are converting after Pressing “Calculate”, it will normally be shown as the background of the page.

I know I’m going to have this handy in the future. Hope ya’ll find it useful!

Or you could just use ColorZilla in Firefox which I think most have been using for almost 2 years now. Click any color on a page and it will give you both RGB and HTML. Can also convert as well (in case you need to copy it from another source - like text color from a CSS file which is a little tricky to pick with a crosshair pointer). But if you’re lazy, you can usually zoom in real quick (Ctrl-+) and that should make your text big enough to pick with a mouse. Else, if you have Firebug installed (and who doesn’t?) you can just right click on the text and “Inspect Element” and you’ll instantly see the colors defined in CSS. Highlight and copy over to Colorzilla.
