HippoHX is a Free and Open Source Tool to create Flash desktop applications. It has a simple and user friendly GUI interface to create your executable, the created executable is compatible with Windows & Mac operating systems.
HippoHX provides a command line tool to package your application if you want to skip the GUI and integrate with Ant or other make scripts and easy AS2, AS3 and haXe APIs. HippoHX is a layer on top of SWHX (Screenweaver haXe-based successor) so you can extend using haXe and Neko.
With HippoHX you can:
- Access the file system
- Find information about the system, including the registry
- Display system messages
- Record audio and video without connecting to an external server
