The good thing about this free script is that by using jQuery/PHP chat script, you don’t need to worry about any database as it will store all live chat conversation in a text file.
This is an AJAX application and during chat there will be no annoying page reloads. In this free live chat script, PHP is used to handle server side stuff like write/retrieve messages from the text file. jQuery is handling the client side stuff.
