As a Web designer must be familiar with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), the style sheet language used to format markup on Web pages. CSS itself is extremely simple, consisting of rule sets and declaration blocks and it does pretty much everything you want.
LESS is the dynamic stylesheet language, it extends CSS with dynamic behavior such as variables, mixins, operations and functions. LESS runs on both the server-side (with Node.js and Rhino) or client-side (modern browsers only).
